Welcome to The Red Cabinet
What is The Red Cabinet?

The Red Cabinet is:
1. A blog
2. A huge red cabinet (in its real-life manifestation) I had in my childhood home, which contained all the storybooks I grew up with, the likes of Moby Dick, Jane Eyre, Archies's comics, Journey to the Centre of the Earth, Huckleberry Finn and so on. I would spend hours on the floor reading and re-reading these books.

What is Red Cabinet, the blog, about?
The stories the physical Cabinet stored represented to me possibility, imagination and adventure. It was living different lives within my one life. I would like this online version of the Cabinet to bring to life the spirit of that feeling- all stories, waiting to be written and read.

What am I reading about on this blog? What is your 'thing'?
This blog is divided into 3 categories:

1. Personal/ Philosophical- These could be nuggets of my personal journey and realizations along the way. It is the introspection I do and questions I ask myself (and to the people around me unfortunately!) every day. What does it mean to be human? What shapes us into the people we are? What are the mantras each of us follow and why? As you can see, these are not easy, or even necessarily, possible answers with a defined scope- these are musings and an effort to lay out different pieces of the puzzle. The idea for this category, of all, is to keep an open mind, and create a community.

2. Fun listicles- This is the place where I try to be funny. You'll find people neatly categorized into buckets basis their behavior and demeanor. Go here to take the edge off, to just laugh at ridiculous situations and the cliched ways in which we often find ourselves responding.

3. TV/Movie analysis- This one is my personal passion project. I am one of those people who will endlessly watch video analyses of TV Shows or movies I love. This category is my own take on some underrated gems while some are the more obvious blockbuster shows. If you have any recommendations for this category or thoughts on what I missed, hit me up.

About me?
I am a human woman. In my professional qualifications (if that matters), I am an engineer, an MBA, a full time 9-5er and part time aspiring writer. In my free time, I worry and watch endless YouTube videos about my latest obsession- that could range from delectable food recipes to color theory and parkour videos. I wanted to have a creative space for the longest time where I could create and post my thoughts, stories and ideas, so like any self-obsessed person, I grabbed a corner of the internet to do just that. I would love for you to reach out to if you would like to know more, talk about some topics I cover or have any new and interesting ideas I could write about.
